Level-5 published a brand new trailer for Megaton Kyuu Musashi, the mecha multimedia franchise announced in July 2016. The franchise is a collaboration project between Level-5 and Weekly Shonen Jump, and is supposed to include a JRPG, an anime, toys and more.

The trailer showcases some of the game's story and characters. It starts with a boy saying they never imagined the world would end back then, and a girl saying she keeps having an ominous feeling recently. These scenes probably happen in the game's introduction, before the earth gets ravaged by aliens.

Megaton Kyuu Musashi's story is set in 2118, where the earth was conquered in a few days by "Dructers", aliens who suddenly appeared. They turned the earth into their nest and humanity has fled into underground shelters. The only hope left is the Megaton-Class giant robot, Musashi. The franchise and titular robot are named after real samurai Miyamoto Musashi, who is one of the most popular personalities in Japanese history and is quite used in pop culture because of his dual-wielding style.

Megaton Kyuu Musashi has no release window or platforms announced as of now.  Perhaps Level-5 will soon communicate on why the game was delayed. Level-5's President Akihiro Hino recently explained the reasons behind the multiple delays of Inazuma Eleven Ares no Tenbin, and trust me, it's really not Level-5's fault.

This new trailer was first shown during the Jump Festa 2019 event, held in Japan from December 22 to 23 2018, and was officially uploaded on the net today. You can find it below. On another note, new information on Dragon Quest XI S for Switch was revealed at that same event.
