When it comes to first-person shooters, gamers are often divided on what is the superior way to play FPS games - with a controller or with a keyboard and mouse. Although you can make a valid argument on either side what if there was a way to combine everything great about using both a controller and keyboard? Thanks to Ark Innovation that "what if" is now a reality.

Ark Innovation has launched a crowdfunding campaign for its gaming mouse, the Lexip. According to the product's Kickstarter page, the Lexip is the world's first gaming mouse meant to be an all-in-one solution for all your PC gaming needs. Visually, it looks like any ordinary gaming mouse, at first, however, the most distinctive feature on the Lexip are the two joysticks - one is a two-axis joystick shell while the other is located on the left side of the mouse.

The first joystick allows players to execute an array of moves during their game session when tilting the mouse shell up, down, left or right. While the second joystick is controlled with your thumb, which is reported to provide a natural 3-Dimensional gaming experience without having to use shortcut keys, macros, or having to reprogram buttons on your mouse or keyboard.

A mouse indeed created for gamers, by gamers, the manufacturer stated on the Kickstarter campaign that the mouse's design was aimed to cater gamers from all walks of life, ranging from casual to professional players. While the mouse is designed for virtually every game, Ark Innovation did reveal a list of "top compatible" games that utilize the Lexip's potential. Several games featured included Counter-Strike: Global OffensiveFallout 4Grand Theft Auto V, League of LegendsRocket League, and Star Citizen to name a few.

Fortunately, the product's Kickstarter has made $211,262 of its $30,634 funding goal with funding for the project set to cut off on Thursday, March 15. Those interested in funding the project, there are several tiers still available, including the "Early Bird Price," users who pledge €99 ($121.06) or more will receive one Lexip gaming mouse.
