With the first season of the series, Dontnod and Square Enix introduced a compelling story set in the midst of teenage life under strange circumstances, and with Life is Strange 2, the next chapter of the coming-of-age story will officially begin this fall.

Developer Dontnod Entertainment has announced that the first episode of Life is Strange 2, the follow-up to the studio's first season that debuted in 2015, will release its first episode on September 27th, 2018.

The release date itself was revealed with a new teaser video for the upcoming sequel, with the trailer also revealing that the second season will contain five episodes, just as the previous season of Life is Strange did. Dontnod also detailed with the teaser reveal that more information about the game will be coming in August.

While the exact specific of its story are unknown at this time, we'll be getting a sneak peek at what to expect from Life is Strange 2 in the form of the upcoming The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, which was revealed at E3 2018 as a spin-off set in the Life is Strange universe that will have direct ties into the story of the upcoming sequel. Captain Spirit will release as a  free download on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on June 26th, 2018.
