Following its debut at the very beginning of last year, Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment's Life is Strange quickly drew great critical praise and a devoted fanbase, and on the heels of this week's release of the special physical version of the game, digital owners of the episodic series won't be left out as insights from the game's creators will be coming to you for free.

In a blog post from Square Enix's site on the release of the game's physical version, the publisher also revealed that the director's commentary, which is included in the physical edition, will be available as free DLC to all digital versions of the game across PlayStation/Xbox consoles and PC.

The director's commentary, which includes videos of the game's creators and development team giving behind-the-scenes insights on the game's creation, are available now for the Xbox One and PC versions of the game, while those playing the game on PS4, PS3, and Xbox 360 will be able to download the commentary on January 25th, 2016.

In addition to the director's commentary, Dontnod also will be releasing new patches across all versions of the game that will add the additional subtitle options that the physical editions include, with new tracks available in Spanish (Mexican & Castilian), Brazilian-Portuguese, Portuguese, German and Italian. The patch also includes "further polish and minor improvements to all episodes and some bug fixes."

Life is Strange is available now for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
