Canada-based independent developer Bishop Games has been busy working on its debut title, which they hope will redefine the 2D platformer. Today, we learned when to expect Light Fall on console, PC, and Mac.

Bishop Games has announced that Light Fall will release in March 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Mac.

In Light Fall, players will explore Numbra, a world where darkness prevails over the light. In order to save this world’s inhabitants, you must rely on the assistance of Stryx, a night owl and companion, as well as the Shadow Core, a magical box beneath your feet that can be summoned at any time to be used as a platform. With these tools at your disposal, you will need to traverse varied environments and encounter both friend and foe to survive and prevail in Numbra.

Light Fall’s Shadow Core will carry you into the air and provide opportunities to launch your character into new heights, even revealing access to many alternate paths, collectibles, and easter eggs. Also included in the game is an online Speedrun Game Mode that allows players to compete in leaderboards for the fastest time.
