Lindsay Lohan to Sue Take-Two Interactive for "Using Her Likeness" in Grand Theft Auto V

In a case of an over-inflated ego and lawyers who have nothing better to do with their time, Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan has gone ahead and decided to sue the creators of Grand Theft Auto V for supposedly using her likeness in the game. She threatened to do this last year but has now made good on her threat.

Lohan claims that the character named Lacey Jonas is directly based on her. The lawsuit claims that the character’s voice and the way she dresses are similar to Lohan’s. The suit also says that the game features the West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont hotel where she once lived.

While the Grand Theft Auto series is known for spoofing American culture, it never directly uses anyone from the real world in their games. Lohan and her exploits may have inspired this character but it is NOT her. This whole lawsuit is ridiculous but it appears that it will move ahead. Hopefully the judge will have the good sense to dismiss this case outright.
