Link's Awakening has gone on to sell quite well for being a remake of a Game Boy title that many people might have passed up when it released way back in 1993. After its first week on the market, it has become the highest-selling title in the EMEAA regions (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Australia).

In the chart below, you can see Link and his buddies out on Koholint Island sitting at Number 1. What is pretty impressive about this is that only retail sales were counted for Link's Awakening, making it the highest-selling game of that week solely based on retail sales alone.

Coming in at number 2 is Borderlands 3, which took into consideration both retail sales as well as digital sales. The game entered its second week on the market.

Of course, a top ten sales charts list wouldn't be complete if Grand Theft Auto V wasn't on it. The game was the third-best-selling game of the week. At this point, I have to believe that the wizards over at Rockstar Games put a spell on the game and somehow duplicates sales numbers because it's just insane how well this game continues to do.

If you would like to take a look at the rest of the list, you can do so below. The list continues with a few surprises as well as some games that were expected to be there.
