During GDC 2018, Aksys Games allowed us to play through the opening of Harvest Moon creator Yasuhiro Wada's newest game Little Dragon's Café coming to PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in summer 2018.

The visual design of Little Dragon's Café resembles a storybook which allows the characters to stand out from the backgrounds as well as give the game a more relaxing tone. We learned that the game does not center around action, instead if a player does get "attacked" by a beast than they simple loose some of the food that they have on them.

During the gameplay, we see the main characters helping their mom out with the café. However, there is something going on with the mother's health that she is not sharing with her children. Outside of the gameplay, as the story continues, a man gives the kids an egg with the promise that it'll make their mother well again. Evidentally, that egg just so happens to be a dragon. Players will raise the dragon while running the café, creating new dishes, hiring new employees, collecting items and exploring the dungeon, all while searching for a cure for their mother.

Now, all of the aforementioned gameplay is not found within the first fifteen minutes, but we do get a chance to test out some of the mechanics as well as take a look at the beginning of the adventure for this brother and sister.
