Aksys Game has released the first episode of a new series that discusses the creation and history behind Little Dragons Café with the creator Yasuhiro Wada.

Wada-san explains that in the beginning, Little Dragons Café wasn't always a game about dragons. It was more about the people who visited the café and the interactions you would experience with them. He wanted the soothing atmosphere of the café to make the player feel good by just being there. The developer also mentions that he believes his game allowed him to connect with everyone else in the world.

Wada-san asked the director of 7’scarlet Tomio Kanazawa for help, and Kanazawa-san gave him some advice and described the original idea as a bit bland. He said that there needs to be something in the game that everyone can relate to. That's how the idea of raising a dragon came to Wada-san. He loved Dragon Quest and Puzzle & Dragons, so he thought there was something about dragons that was catchy.
