Today, developer Tarsier Studios and publisher Bandai Namco announced that their 2.5D hide-and-seek puzzle platformer, Little Nightmares, is getting its own DLC expansion pass, called Secrets of the Maw, which will add three new chapters to tell a parallel story to the events of the original game.

The new DLC introduces The Runaway Kid, a new playable character and fellow prisoner looking for a way out of the dark depths of The Maw, the same eerie, twisted vessel that Six in Little Nightmares is trying to run from.

During his journey, The Runaway Kid will visit unseen areas of the Maw across three different chapters.  It’s currently unclear if the three chapters will all be distributed at once or separately. The aforementioned appears to the case however. What we do know for sure though is that the content will hit all of the game’s platforms — PC, Xbox One, and PS4 — sometime in July at the price-point of $9.99 USD.

The three chapters will consist of “The Depths,” “The Hideway,” and a secret location, which offers new challenges to overcome and an alternative perspective on Six’s adventure.

Little Nightmares is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC for $19.99 USD. If you haven’t already, be sure to check out our review of the game (which launched back in late April) where we dished out an impressive 9 out of 10 score.
