Tarsier's Studios Little Nightmares was first announced this past August. A few days later publisher of the game Bandai Namco disclosed that the unnerving platformer would be coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in Spring 2017. Now, via an interview with OnlySP, more details, such as the game's length, have surfaced.

The new details come from Senior Narrative Designer, Dave Mervik who talked about the game's story at length. Mervik mentions that the Swedish developer has taken an interpretive approach to storytelling, and that while the game contains a definite narrative drive throughout, it is also greatly open for interpretation.

Part of this interpretive approach to storytelling is highlighted by how the game doesn't have any dialogue. This was done to "ensure that the story of Little Nightmares  exists in the world, not just a few expository cutscenes, " said Mervik.

Mervik goes on to say how the studio has placed a lot of emphasis on exploration of the game's setting "The Maw." Because of this, an exact time for how long to complete the game is hard to give, but Mervik did divulge that the studio's estimate is currently somewhere in the region of 6-8 hours for a playthrough.

Little Nightmares is set to arrive digitally on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in Spring 2017. A price point has yet to be divulged.
