Announced back at PSX 2016, LocoRoco Remastered finally has a release date: May 9th.

That's right, the innovative 2D platform/action game is hitting the PS4 quite soon, bringing with it the game's vibrant visuals rendered in native 4K (1080p for non 4K TV owners), and with fresh control schemes that take advantage of the DualShocker 4 wireless controller features. More specifically the game utilizes the additional capabilities offered by the DualShock 4 Wireless Controller to control the LocoRoco via “tilting or bumping” the landscape in order to help them navigate through the level and keep them out of harm’s way.

For those that don't know: LocoRoco was developed by SCE Japan Studio and published by Sony for the PSP back in 2006. The series has had four games since.

LocoRoco Remastered is the second of the three remasters Sony announced together at PSX (the first was PaRappa the Rapper Remastered which hit this month). The only remaster left from that trio is Patapon, which is perhaps the one I'm personally looking forward to the most.
