Is Loki Season 2 Confirmed?

When writing this article, the MCU officially confirmed Loki Season 2 in the final episode of Season 1.

According to Deadline, Disney plans to bring back Michael Waldron, Loki's executive producer, to work on the second season of Loki. Other than that, a report from the Production Weekly states that the studio will start development on Loki Season 2 in January 2022.

So, we might get the second season by the end of 2022, but we can't be sure about it until there's some official confirmation on the release date.

Unlike Loki, Disney didn't confirm a second of the previous MCU shows. Talking about WandaVision, Elizabeth Olsen doesn't think a season 2 is possible. She clearly stated that "it is a limited series," and Wanda's story will tie up in Doctor Strange 2 movie. At the same time, the story of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will pick up in Captain America 4.

Considering all that, one might think that these MCU shows will not go any further. However, as Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said, it's hard to say a definite "no" or "yes" to anything when it comes to MCU.

Moreover, it's not like every upcoming MCU show is chalked out to run for a single season from the start. Feige confirmed that they are working on some shows that may last for multiple seasons, including Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Loki.
