“Long-Awaited” Home Console Game to be Announced Soon by Cho Aniki Developer Masaya Games

on December 24, 2014 10:53 PM

Masaya Games, developer of the cult Cho Aniki series just updated its official website with something very interesting.

As you can see in the screencap at the bottom of the post, it now displays a message in Japanese that says:

The long-awaited home video game title will soon be announced. Coming Soon…

The wording definitely indicates a home console game, even if we don’t know for what platform. Considering that it says “long-awaited,” it could be a new title of a well known franchise.

Cho Aniki is definitely a possibility. Masaya also published the lovely strategy RPG Langrisser, but that’s much less likely, as the series’ publishing rights were acquired by Atlus when they absorbed the Career Soft development team, even if the house of Persona hasn’t touched it since 2007.

We’ll have to wait and see, and we’ll keep you posted as soon as further information becomes available.
