The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth may have just come out last week on PS4, PS Vita and PC, but that doesn't mean those are the only platforms that the game will end up being on. It looks like Nintendo could possibly be the next stop for the bizarre rogue-like.

It's been rumored that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth could be coming to the Wii U for awhile now, but we are now seeing the first possible confirmation of a 3DS version. Tyrone Rodriguez, developer at Nicalis games that helped develop and publish Rebirth, has teased on Twitter a brief image of the game running on a TV with a 3DS next to it with the game menu open on it.

Nicalis has previously released Cave Story+ and aided in porting VVVVVV to Nintendo's handheld system, adding credence to the possibility that this wonderful combination will see the light of day. I'd say this is a pretty strong indication that we will be seeing the dark, Zelda inspired game on the platform in the near future, but always remember that development plans can change and nothing is official.

What do you think of seeing Edmund McMillien and Florian Himsl souped-up version of The Binding of Isaac hitting the 3DS? Would it be a day one buy on the eShop for you? Let me know in the comments below.
