Artillerists can dish out really high damage and provide a high amount of stagger to the bosses of Lost Ark. But if you're struggling with Chaos Dungeons look no further, this guide will show you the ultimate build to clear them with ease. Artillerists have a very good selection of AoE skills that are perfect for quickly dispatching enemies in Chaos Dungeons. This may very well be the best build for farming infinite Chaos Dungeons out of all the classes. If you haven't tried the Artillerist yet, give this build a try and you might fall in love with all the barrage of explosions.
If you've read our other Chaos Dungeon builds you'll know that we love the Preemptive Strike Combat Engraving. (More information can be found in this post.) In Chaos Dungeons it's simply the best option out there and you'd be remiss not to use it. Testing out all the Skills and Tripod combinations of the Artillerist we've specifically chosen ones that work very well with this engraving.
Skills To Use In Chaos Dungeons As An Artillerist
Starting out, there are only normal monsters spawning in the first zone. Nearly every skill in this build with Preemptive Strike can one-hit kill them with no problem. A lot of the skills we've chosen specifically because they have very short cooldowns. While the big-hitting skills like Homing Barrage and Air Raid can be used to clear the screen and then use all the other ones when those are on cooldown. Both of these have their damage delayed so moving in a wide circle to avoid getting hit will help keep you alive.
The second zone adds waves of 3 Named enemies at a time that respawn a few times. Group them up and use Homing Barrage and Air Raid. Try to kill 2 or 3 of them in one blast as that should reduce your cooldowns enough that they'll be ready to use again for the next grouping. Then clear any remaining normal enemies with your other skills until the Challenge-type monster appears.
For the Challenge-type enemy at the end of this zone, use your Awakening Skill: Rocket Barrage to easily clear it.
The final zone can be cleared with ease by rotating the use of Homing Barrage and Air Raid for the Named enemies that spawn from the Red Crystals. You can precast these after breaking the Red Crystals as the damage doesn't immediately occur. Then use the other skills to clear the remaining normal enemies.

Engravings Priority For Chaos Dungeons
As we've stated before, for Chaos Dungeons using the Preemptive Strike engraving is the top priority for engravings. After that they can also the other engravings listed below:

- Guaranteed Crit on challenge type or lower monsters with full HP.

#2: Firepower Enhancement Class Engraving
- Increases damage based on how full the Identity Gauge is. Also reduces incoming damage.

#3: Keen Blunt Weapon
- Increase Crit Damage; a chance for reduced damage. Pairs well with Preemptive Strike crits.

- Improves Identity Skill damage. (Only Level 1 advisable)

Artillerist Gem Priority In Chaos Dungeons
Gems are available starting in Tier 2. For the Artillerist, you generally want to choose damage gems for the skills that do less damage, and cooldown gems for the skills that have higher cooldowns. Follow this order for the best choices:

Stat Allocation
Stats are on the Accessories (Necklace, Earring, and Rings). Most people don't have the gold required for two sets of accessories specifically for Chaos Dungeons as the content is not very difficult. There are a few different ways to go about Stats for the Artillerist.

- Specialization to improve Identity gauge generation and increased Identity skill damage or
- Swiftness to improve the speed of skill casting animations, cooldown recovery, and movement speed.

- If not using a combination of the above, Crit can also be used as a secondary stat.
Tripod Skill Tree Effects
Finally, if you've reached Tier 3, don't forget to go to the Transfer Skill Tree NPC, to transfer the tripods of your skills from looted gear. (You can also save them in the Tripod inventory tab to test other builds!) Since not all tripods can have their level increased, only some of the Tripods in this build can be upgraded. The 13 out of 18 slots you should use are:
