If you are interested in beginning a new career with the Glaivier class in Lost Ark, then you have to choose between the two major builds, but which one is the best for you? We can help you with that!

Lost Ark Glaivier Build: Control

If you are new to Lost Ark and Glaivier is your first character class experience, I strongly suggest you go with the Control build.

With this build, there is no need to switch stances as you will only use Flurry (Blue) stance, and the Focus (Red) stance will be removed. Using a single stance means that you don't need to perform complicated attacks and manage your meter or bar to switch when they are fulfilled to a certain amount.

Overall, the Control build delivers the easiest combat method for Glaivier class, however, it does come at a cost. First of all, you don't get any Identity buffs without Focus Stance. Moreover, you will have 8 fewer slots, which helps with Cooldown reduction, but on the other hand, nerfs Critical Rate due to the high amount of Swiftness stacked.

Also, the lack of stance switching makes your character less mobile compared to the Pinnacle build, which means you really need to care about your movement and position in the arena.

Lost Ark Glaivier Build: Pinnacle

If you are experienced enough in Lost Ark, the Pinnacle build could surely benefit you more than the Control build. With Pinnacle build you can switch stances between red and blue whenever you have maximum Identity Guage as well as Level 3 Pinnacle. Down below, you can check out the buffs for switching into each stance:

  • Switch to Flurry (Blue) Stance:
    • 15% Damage buff, 15% Attack Speed buff, and 25% Critical chance buff
  • Switch to Focus (Red) Stance:
    • 20% Damage buff, 15% Movement Speed buff, and 50% Critical Damage buff

The Pinnacle build is all about mobility. If you are a fan of fast-paced combat and you can perform speedy attacks, then Pinnacle is your best build with the huge Identity buffs that it delivers. Moreover, using the Pinnacle build will also allow you to perform Parry, which is a rare move among all Lost Ark character classes.

What Is the Best Lost Ark Glaive Build?

As mentioned above, the Control build is the best one for newcomers to Lost Ark. It is an easy-to-learn build and does not require players to perform many complicated attacks or manage bars.

On the other hand, the Pinnacle build comes with all the unique skills and abilities of the Glaivier class, though it might not be something that every Lost Ark player feels comfortable with.

Lost Ark is now available for free on PC through Steam.
