MMORPG Lost Ark was now officially launched in English on February 11, several days after those who bought the Founder’s Pack had access to an early release - however, several players had the fright of their lives due to a missing characters bug, which now has an official fix.

Soon after the official launch of Lost Ark, several players realized when logging into the game that their characters made during the early access were missing. This created a wave of fear on social media, with fans believing their characters were permanently deleted.

Lost Ark developer addresses missing characters issue

Luckily, this missing characters bug was only a temporary issue caused by complications due to the game's full launch. Lost Ark confirmed on Twitter that while some of the characters didn't show up, none of them have been deleted, and a fix has now been published.

How to fix the missing characters bug in Lost Ark

Lost Ark published a new version of the game on Steam fixing the issue, so you must close the game and its client, click on the game in your Steam library and click update.

Note that if you still can't see your character after that, you must contact the Lost Ark support service as you've been hit by a different bug.

While this missing characters issue was solved, there are still other issues as certain servers were locked to avoid congestion. Meaning you can't go on the same server as your friends and play together.

While Lost Ark is being published by Amazon Games just like New World, it's being developed by South Korean studio Smilegate. Lost Ark was first launched in 2019 in South Korea, and in 2020 in Japan.
