Thievery is a popular sport in Lupin III, as the hit anime franchise from director Eiji Suganuma and writer Takahiro Ōkura returns for another chapter. Based on the manga of the same name by Monkey Punch, Lupin III follows the gentleman thief Lupin III - who is a descendant of the phantom thief Arsène Lupin - and Part 6 will follow Lupin III as a prime suspect when Sherlock Holmes’ partner Dr. Watson is found murdered.

The official website of the anime recently delivered a treasure trove of information on the new part, including the opening theme and the first look at Part 6’s debut visual. The website also listed a host of additional staff members and guest scriptwriters brought on board to present Part 6 as a thrilling watch not to be missed.

Release Date, Opening Theme, and First Visual

  • The Lupin III Part 6 anime series is scheduled to premiere on October 10, 2021 at 12:55 am on Nippon TV. It was also reported that Part 6 will be available to stream on Hulu Japan as well.

The website also reported that the opening theme, titled “Theme from Lupin III 2021,” will be performed by Yuuji Oono & Lupintic Six with Friends.

Additionally, the Lupin III website revealed the first promotional image for Part 6. Lupin III, Daisuke Jigen, Goemon Ishikawa XIII, Fujiko Mine, and Inspector Kōichi Zenigata are all present on the collaborative, dutch-angled print. Painted on a turquoise backdrop, the print acknowledges its belonging to Lupin III Part 6 as well as the show’s 50th Anniversary.

The website post also shared the addition of new staff members and guest scriptwriters for Part 6:
