Four days into 2018 and already we hear big surprises in the gaming industry, and nothing is as surprising as finding out that Mad Catz is coming back to the industry almost a year after going bankrupt.

According to the press release, the manufacturer known for its zany gaming peripherals has officially been revived and the company is now “under new management, with new ideas, new attitude," and of course, a variety of new products.

Although the full list of products has not been revealed, Mad Catz confirmed that it would be previewing its first line of gaming peripherals at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES). We'll see a range of all-new PC gaming hardware such as new R.A.T. mice, S.T.R.I.K.E. keyboards, F.R.E.Q. gaming headsets, and G.L.I.D.E. gaming surfaces. Three new products were also announced in the press release - the R.A.T. AIR, S.T.R.I.K.E. 4and F.R.E.Q. 4.

The R.A.T. AIR is a new model of the notable and fully-adjustable gaming mouse, which now features a wireless power system. According to the manufacturer, the R.A.T. AIR does not require an unreliable battery pack to function, but functions by harnessing power from a wireless activation gaming surface, which is available when you purchase the product. Of course, if you prefer to use your own gaming surface the product also comes with a USB cable, which can turn the product into a wired mouse instantly.

The S.T.R.I.K.E. 4 is a fully mechanical keyboard with an aluminum frame as well as RGB lighting. Lastly, the F.R.E.Q. 4 gaming headset implements high-quality 40mm neodymium drivers and includes a metal plated.
