Today during the Electronic Arts’ EA Play press conference, EA Sports revealed the long awaited and highly requested story mode that will be making its way into the upcoming game in the long running Madden series. The new story mode trailer shows Madden 18 running in EA's own Frostbite engine, which looks absolutely stunning and can be seen below.

In the new trailer, which clocks in at 1 minute and 8 seconds, we get to see the latest addition coming to Madden; a story mode. The short reveal trailer takes us on a brief narrative journey of Devon Wade, a football player for the University of Texas as he goes on his journey to be drafted into the NFL.

The addition of a proper story mode in Madden has been a highly requested feature that fans have been wanting for quite some time now. Given the massive success and praise of the story mode presented in FIFA 17, it's no surprise that Madden 18 is getting the proper story mode treatment. Last month, Electronic Arts announced that Tom Brady would be on the cover of Madden 18.

No other information was given on the game's new story mode, but what we can definitely expect from it is a brand new explosive narrative, all told through the beautiful Frostbite Engine. Madden 18 is the first game in the Madden series to utilize the new engine and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

Madden 18 will come in two versions; the standard version of the game and the G.O.A.T Edition. The latter version of Madden 18 will give players the ability to play the game 3 days early before the official release date of August 25, 2017. In addition to playing the game early, players will also get 1 elite player from their favorite NFL team, 2,500 contracts, an Ultimate Team uniform pack, 1 of 5 elite G.O.A.T. players, and 12 Madden Ultimate Team squad packs.

Madden 18 will be released on August 25, 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
