Madden 20’s Newest Trailer is the Corniest Thing You’ll See All Day

I can't decide if this Madden 20 trailer is good or not, but I can't stop watching it.

The latest Madden 20 trailer sure is something. It features Juju Smith-Schuster going back to college, DJ Khaled proclaiming that he’ll be the next great scrambling QB, and a man named Malik who is in need of some milk. It’s something you need to see for yourself.

What a world we live in. From the jump, this trailer is wacky, but the moment where DJ Khaled rolls in on either a Ski-Doo or an ATV (I can’t tell which) is when it goes off the rails. Also, Lil Yachty apparently went to the school of Rod Smart when naming his Face of the Franchise character as he’s listed as “Lil Goat”. That’s a bit presumptive, but I can dig it. Honestly, I’m not completely sure whether I love or hate this thing. What I can say is that at least they had fun with it.

Speaking of fun, I’m having a good time with Madden 20 so far. I posted some first impressions earlier this morning and will have a full review soon, but the core gameplay has taken the series in a direction I appreciate. The trailer mentions the new Superstar  X-Factors, which switch up the gameplay in a fun way. Like DJ Khaled, I too am working on building the next great scrambling QB and it’s been a good time so far.

Madden 20 will be out August 2 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you’re wanting to play early, you can sign up for EA Access to play the game right now.
