Borealys Games launched a KickStarter for their single-player action-adventure Mages of Mystralia, coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
After the KickStarter launched, the game was fully funded after 16 hours. The game is authored by Forgotten Realms creator Ed Greenwood and will feature puzzles that can be completed by using a wide variety of spells to overcome all obstacles.
Additionally, Shota Nakama (Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom hearts 2.5 HD) is on board to orchestrat the OST for the game, recorded live by the Video Game Orchestra.
The developer details the story:
Most succinctly described as Legend of Zelda meets Harry Potter, Mages of Mystralia is a single-player action-adventure set in a lively fantasy world in which you can design your own spells.
In this homage to the fantasy genre’s most iconic archetype, the mage, you will need to master the art of spellcrafting. Through solving environmental puzzles and defeating formidable enemies, you will come to explore the millions of possible spell combinations on your path to becoming a real mage!
Currently, the game has raised almost $50k, the goal was $18,763.
