Making Of Video for Original Max Payne Shows Animation Reference, Hilarious Bloopers

on February 7, 2016 3:29 PM

The original Max Payne by Remedy Entertainment broke new grounds in many aspects of gaming, and recently Sam Lake introduced a “making of” video during an event held in Paris at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie, which DualShockers attended.

The video includes footage shot for the game in an era in which motion capture still wasn’t an option, and this kind of work was necessary to give animators something to use as reference when animating characters by hand.

As a bonus, there also are some rather hilarious bloopers, starring a very young Sam Lake.

You can check it out below.

The Video Game masterclass event in Paris was organized by Jeux Vidéo Magazine and Cité des Sciences.
