Released a year ago today in North America, Square Enix and PlatinumGames’ acclaimed NieR: Automata was regarded as one of the best titles to release last year, and fans looking to see the game come to life (in a way) can do so now thanks to the epic Man At Arms series.

The AWE Me YouTube series Man At Arms: Reforged has released a new episode focused around the recreation of Virtuous Treaty, the main weapon that is used by NieR: Automata‘s protagonist 2B in the game.

Known for recreating iconic weapons from various films, TV shows, and video games, the iconic sword from NieR: Automata seems to have presented an interesting challenge for the Man At Arms team given that the Virtuous Treaty sword has such a unique design and aesthetic compared to more traditional weaponry. However, I think they pulled off recreating the sword beautifully by the end of the episode, and even give a demonstration of the sword in action.

NieR: Automata is available now on PS4 and PC – for a closer look at seeing one of the game’s signature weapons come to life, you can check out the most recent episode of Man At Arms: Reforged below:
