Ahead of its release just next month, Bandai Namco Entertainment has today revealed a new feature for The Dark Picture Anthology-- Man of Medan that will surely please those who are looking to play with some friends.

Upon launch, Man of Medan will now boast two different multiplayer modes that you can jump into with others. The first of these two, called Shared Story Mode, will allow you and one other person to control different characters within Man of Medan. Both of you will then be able to make your own decisions that will affect the outcome of the story the fate of your own independent character. This mode will be available for only two people via online co-op.

The other multiplayer mode, called Movie Night Mode, will allow from two to five players to hop in on the action. Movie Night Mode is meant to be played locally and will let you pass the controller around to other friends who may be in the room with you watching. Each player will control their own character but will have to make decisions that might affect other characters as well.

Considering so many people played Supermassive's last hit, Until Dawn, with others in the room watching, this idea for multiplayer here in Man of Medan is a really smart addition. While you're still more than welcome to play the game alone if you'd like, it's cool to now have the option to pass off the controller or play with others online if that's something you're interested in.
