Mantis Burn Racing Snowbound Pack and Elite Class DLC Now Available; Brings Snow Racing, Hover Vehicles, and More

Today, UK-based developer and publisher VooFoo Studios announced that the first two DLC packs for its top-down racer, Mantis Burn Racing, are now available to download on all of the game’s platforms (PS4, Xbox One, and PC). To accompany the launch of said DLC packs, VooFoo Studios has also released two new trailers: one for each DLC pack.

One of these two DLC packs is the free-to-download Snowbound Pack, which brings a new snow-themed race environment to the game, featuring four new tracks. The DLC pack also extends the game’s single-player campaign by adding season’s two and three of the Veteran Class career, as well as 34 extra events to complete.

You can check Snowbound Pack via the new trailer below:

The other new DLC pack, the Elite Class, adds a new class of Elite Hover vehicles to the game. A brief description of the vehicles is provided:

Put your driving skills to the ultimate test with these thrillingly-fast, futuristic-looking vehicles that use powerful turbines to hover above the ground making them less affected by the tracks’ surface.

Hover vehicles also come with their own 12 event ‘Elite’ career season, which is unlocked after purchasing the DLC Pack. Like the Snowbound Pack, Elite Class is available today, but unlike the Snowbound Pack, it’s not free, but rather costs $2.49 USD.

Mark Williams, VooFoo Studio’s Technology Director accompanied the announcement and release with the following statement:

“Since we launched in Oct 2016 the reaction to Mantis Burn Racing® from both fans and critics has been overwhelmingly positive. We’ve listened to the community and delivered a massive free content update along with paid DLC and a patch that we’re confident will extend the depth, longevity and enjoyment of the game, with more to come!”

A new major patch is also arriving today (on all platforms). The update brings news features to the game including a new ‘Time Out’ event, the ability to tune engine upgrades, and more. You can find the full details of the patch here. Additionally, a Double XP weekend for the game is poised to run this weekend, March 31st through April 2nd.
