During today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced Mario & Luigi Bowers Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey for Nintendo 3DS. This is a 3DS remake of the title that initially launched on 3DS in 2009, and will hit the handheld device sometime in 2019.

Last year, Nintendo release a remake of Superstar Saga for the 3DS, so it makes sense that they would move on to another, and debatably the best Mario & Luigi game. This game retains the traditional Mario & Luigi gameplay format, with the A button controlling Mario, and the B button controlling Luigi.

That being said, Mario and Luigi's portion of the game mainly takes place inside Bowser, as they get sucked in by Fawful. Meanwhile, players can also control Bowser as he ventures through the Mushroom Kingdom to find a cure. As the title suggests, this version adds another aspect to the game, showing what Bowser Jr. and his minions were doing during the events of the game. This should give people who already own the game a reason to revisit it on 3DS.

Below, you can check out the Nintendo Direct portion dedicated to the game alongside some screenshots. Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey will hit 3DS sometime in 2019, so it doesn't seem like releases for that system will be slowing down anytime soon.
