Ubisoft's Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle wasn't exactly one of the most unexpected E3 surprises, but its apparent quality definitely impressed many.

The game was playable today at Nintendo's booth at Japan Expo in Paris, and a few minutes of gameplay have surfaced online, courtesy of YouTube user GiocagneTV.

The video, which is filmed from the screen of a demo station, shows the final moments of a battle, and a dialogue scene afterwards. While it's off-screen, it's still nicely captures the game's clean and crisp visuals and art style.

You can check it out below, and if you're curious to learn more, you can check out our hands-on preview from E3, and our interview from a follow-up Nintendo event in New York.

Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle also won our Best Strategy Game award at the trade show in Los Angeles. It will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on August 29th.
