Mario Steals the Show During the Rio 2016 Olympics Closing Ceremony

As Tokyo, Japan is set to host the Olympics in 2020, they of course showed up during the closing ceremony of Rio’s event today.

2020 Olympic Games, and as is traditional, popped up during the closing ceremony of Rio’s event today.

A short video segment saw a CG Mario jump into a Warp Pipe in Tokyo, and then pop up in the middle of the Rio arena. Mario then stripped away his clothes and revealed Japan’s prime minsiter, Shinzo Abe. Honestly, you can’t make this sort of thing up.

Japan’s opening and closing ceremonies are going to be amazing.
