Though longtime Nintendo fans will recognize her as Mario's first true love from the original Donkey Kong, Pauline in recent years has made a big return to the world of Mario games, and now she appears to be heading out of New Donk City and into the tennis courts in Mario Tennis Aces next month.

Nintendo has announced that the latest character to join the roster in Mario Tennis Aces will be Pauline, who is set to make a serve after her last appearance in Super Mario Odyssey.

In the trailer released by Nintendo, Pauline is shown to play as a Speedy type, while the trailer also highlighted some of her special shots, trick shots, and more.

According to the trailer, Pauline will be available to players that compete in the Online Tournament mode of Mario Tennis Aces throughout the month of March (3/1-3/31), and then will be available to all players starting on April 1.

Last month, Mario Tennis Aces players got Boom Boom as the latest character added to the game as part of the continual free updates and new content that have been coming to the game since it launched last year. With Pauline's appearance, it appears that more is on the way for players to serve up in the coming months.

Mario Tennis Aces is available now on Nintendo Switch. If you have yet to pick up a copy of the game for yourself, you can do that now over on Amazon. For a closer look at Pauline's debut in the game, you can check out the new trailer below:
