Marvel Snap is adding one of the most highly-requested features, PvP mode, later this year. This comes from a Second Dinner spokesperson talking to The Washington Post. He shared that a future update to the strategic card game will allow players to compete against friends.

Marvel Snap has grown massively in popularity since its launch a couple of weeks ago, with the free-to-play game already crossing the $2 million earned mark thanks to in-game monetization. The good news for players is that the development team listened to player feedback and released a road map which details the content coming to Marvel Snap in the near future. As 2022 is winding down, PvP should be arriving to the game soon.

"Marvel Snap is entirely digital and uses a simple online ranked ladder system that matches you against random opponents of a similar skill level." a spokesperson for the developers explained how the competitive mode in Marvel Snap basically works. Second Dinner also added on the roadmap:" We think Battle Mode is the best way to play against friends or run community tournaments because it provides a clear winner while still incorporating the snap mechanic."

Marvel Snap's PVP mode will work differently from the ranked mode, allowing players to take on friends in a series of games instead of matching random players with each other. Each player starts with ten health and deals four damage to their opponent when snapped until one player has no health left. Bear in mind that every player will use the same deck, keeping everything on the same playing field. According to the road map, "in-development features also include unranked mode, collector tokens, and PC widescreen UI."

Moreover, new in-game events, competitive mode, collectible emotes, and mythic variants of superheroes are what Second Dinner aims to add to the Marvel-themed card game in the feature.
