Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order Gets a July Release Date
Marvel's Ultimate Alliance series is returning this summer on the Nintendo Switch.
Further strengthening the Nintendo Switch’s insane July release month, Team Ninja’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order has gotten a release date of July 19. After a 10 year long hiatus, the series is finally returning as a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 will include heroes and villains from all walks of the Marvel universe; including the X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers, and more. The game will also incorporate new characters that have garnered popularity among Marvel fans since the original two games released. These characters include Black Panther, Spider-Gwen, Doctor Strange, and Deadpool.
The game will revolve around Thanos and his merry band of followers. It’ll be quite similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in that the game’s cast will be on a race to find all of the Infinity Stones before Thanos. Obviously, this game includes many characters that have not made appearance’s yet in the movie universe.
As previously mentioned, the game will be an action RPG developed by Team Ninja, who has previously worked on the Dead or Alive series, Ninja Gaiden, and Nioh. The team is certainly no stranger to action titles. You’ll be able to play with friends locally or via online functionality. Of course, you can run through the game by yourself if that’s what you prefer.
Back during 2018’s game awards, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order got a surprise reveal trailer. Less than a year later, fans will have the chance to return to the Ultimate Alliance series at home or on the go.
