Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order has only been available for a few days now, but it seems as though the game is already selling better than expected.

In a new tweet from user Benji-Sales, it is said that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 has had as stronger showing so far at market than was originally estimated. According to Benji, who is said to have access to sales data in the United States, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 is currently on pace to be the third strongest Switch launch of 2019, following only behind New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe and Super Mario Maker 2. It's also set to surpass other third-party titles like Mortal Kombat 11 and Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled at this current rate.

Benji goes on to say that prior to release, data for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 indicated that it wasn't tracking very well which leads to these initial sales being all the more surprising. Of course, this pace could quickly fall off in the coming weeks leading sales to be more in-line with what may have been expected before launch. That said, it's still been a strong opening weekend for the franchise revival.

We should have more data to go off of in the coming days as initial sales data from other regions such as the UK should begin coming in. Until then, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is out now, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
