While the trailer cementing the fact that the X-Men are reemerging in video games is likely the biggest Marvel Ultimate Allliance 3: The Black Order news of the day, another video has also emerged showcasing two popular Spider-Man villains. The video, which comes courtesy of GameInformer, confirms that players fight Venom and Electro in the second chapter of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.

Both villains are fought at the same time. While Venom looks extremely faithful to his comic book counterpart, Electro is sporting a newer look that blends the classic designs of the character with newer elements from games like Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4. The video highlights how Venom and Electro work well together during this boss fight with their various area-of-effect attacks. Venom can lay down symbiote that not only slows down the player, but increases the power of Electro's attacks.

While superhero games of the past typically locked players into fighting one villain per boss fight, game's like Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 show that there is actually a lot of potential in pairing villains together for a fight in order to keep players on their toes. Like all major boss fights in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, players will have to stagger the bosses the face first before wailing into them to deal damage. This video also features nearly two minutes of uninterrupted gameplay, so it definitely lasts longer than some of the glimpses of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 that we have gotten in the past.
