CMON is known for putting together some of the best Kickstarter campaigns in the board gaming space. Three of the top 12 most-funded games of all time come from the industry-leading publishers. So, when a new one launches, they almost always clear their goal within minutes. Marvel United, their latest release, did exactly that. The game cleared its $150,000 goal in about 30 minutes and is currently sitting on $573, 453. It might not reach the heights of some of the publisher's other releases, but it's an unquestionable success.

Marvel United is a co-op game that has you and up to three of your friends working together to take down the most dangerous villains in the Marvel universe. The game uses an intriguing "storyline" system for gameplay. Basically, you and the villain take turns adding cards to the storyline. Then, those cards activate in order. However, the real reason you're here is the miniatures.

Taking a similar style to the Chibi minis in Arcadia Quest, Marvel United gives you tons of mini Marvel characters to play with. Personally, it's not an art style I love, but the success of Arcadia Quest tells me I'm probably in the minority. And, of course, as the game continues to generate sales, CMON will keep adding more minis in the form of stretch goals.

Marvel United is probably not a game I'll be adding to my collection. That said, it's a hot property from one of the best publishers in the game. If you like what you see, you can rest assured that CMON will, at the very least, ship a good product. The game is available on Kickstarter for 20 more days at the time of this writing.
