Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is set to take over more than just the admiration of fans (and the box office) this weekend, as Marvel announced during San Diego Comic Con 2014 that the ragtag group of intergalactic adventurers are set to take over many of Marvel's video game installments and franchises to make an appearance.

Aside from last week's reveal of Star-Lord, Groot, Drax, Rocket, and Gamora arriving in Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel is also bringing the fab five of Guardians of the Galaxy to their universe of video games, including Facebook RPG Marvel Avengers Alliance, mobile card game Marvel War of Heroes, MMO Marvel HeroesMarvel Pinball, and both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions of Minecraft.

Rounding things off for the onslaught of new Guardians content are new Xbox Live Avatars modeled after several characters from the series, including your own mask and jacket modeled after the movie's Star-Lord/Peter Quill.

The new content for all of these games (and presumably more) will be arriving this week to coincide with the release of Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1st, 2014.
