Marvelous Entertainment to Make Horror Game With Wii Balance Board Support

Marvelous Entertainment, developers of the recent Harvest Moon games and publisher of Wii cult classics No More Heroes and Muramasa: The Demon Blade, have announced in a recent issue of Famitsu that they’re working on a new game for the Wii.  According to GoNintendo’s findings, it’ll actually be a horror game with Balance Board support, and it’ll be due out March 24th next year.

I’m actually surprised third parties haven’t been developing more games with the Balance Board in mind, especially considering most of the garbage Kinect and Move games are so elementary that they could easily be done on the Balance Board.  Either way, if there’s one developer that could make Balance Board support a thing that could work in an actual game, it would be Marvelous Entertainment.  They truly are a, ahem, marvelous developer and publisher, and really have treated the Wii fanbase quite well.

His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
