San Diego Comic-Con usually isn't that big of an event for many developers in the video game industry, but for comic book publisher Marvel, it has become a much more marquee convention over the past few years. This year looks to be no different, either, as Marvel Games has quite a bit planned to show off later this month.

Marvel announced its plans for SDCC this afternoon and, well, it's probably pretty close to what you would have expected. The Marvel Games panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 is set to take place on Thursday, July 18, at 1:30pm PST. The panel is said to focus on all of Marvel's biggest upcoming titles like Iron Man VRMarvel's Avengers, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order, which launches later this month. Special "surprises" are also said to take place during this event.

Here's a full description of the panel from Marvel:

Get an inside look at the latest and greatest from Marvel Games! Attendees will see exciting new content from MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order, Marvel's Iron Man VR, and Marvel's Avengers, with many unannounced surprises and panel exclusives. Host Greg Miller (loudmouth at KindaFunny.com) will be joined by Bill Rosemann (VP & Creative Director, Marvel Games) and other special guests from titles throughout the Marvel Games family!

As for what those surprises could be, I'm personally holding out hope that this will be where the public first gets to see Marvel's Avengers in action. While I provided my own opinion of the gameplay footage that I was shown of the game last month at E3, I think it'd make sense to give fans their first taste of the game here at Comic-Con. I could be wrong, so don't take this as truth, but it seems like a fair possibility.

Regardless of what might transpire at SDCC, we'll have all of the latest news for you here on DualShockers as the panel takes place.
