According to a recent unboxing video from the Earth's Mightiest Heroes edition of Marvel's Avengers, the game will require you to free up at least 90 GB of free space on your PS4.

If you've ever looked at the backside of your physical games' box art to check out the details, you've probably spotted the estimated file size of games. That's exactly how a YouTuber has figured out the file size of Marvel's Avengers on PS4 while unboxing one of the fancy editions of the game. According to the official box art of Marvel's Avengers, the game requires 90 GB of free space to be installed on your PS4.

Of course, it doesn't reveal the exact amount you have to download as the files are usually being compressed in order to reduce the download size. So, it would probably mean the download size will be less than 90 GB unless the game receives a heavy day-one update.

Previously, the official PC system requirements for Marvel's Avengers revealed that the game requires 75 GB of free space on PC, but if you prefer to play it at the highest preset, you will have to download high-resolution textures, which raises the file size to 105 GB.

The file size of the game for Xbox One version is yet to be revealed, but it probably won't differ much with the file size of the PS4 edition, though the lack of some content on Xbox One may reduce the amount of space it needs to get installed.

Marvel's Avengers is set to be released on September 4 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will receive free post-launch content including new playable characters. Hawkeye will be the first post-launch superhero to hit all the platforms, with Spider-Man coming only to PS4 sometime next year. Some cosmetic items will also be exclusive to PS4.
