Developer Firaxis Games has released a new trailer for Marvel's Midnight Suns, introducing Blade as another protagonist that will be playable in the game. The short gameplay snippet also features various cut scenes, showing off Blade's abilities and powers.

Having released an extensive gameplay trailer for Magik and the Hunter, Firaxis dropped a short teaser dedicated to Blade, also known as Eric Brooks. Although the footage does not feature Blade's cards, it provides a brief overview of his abilities.

Players can see him in action as he dashes from one enemy to another while making heavy attacks. As seen in the video, Blade can use a variety of weapons, from chew and katana to a revolver, to differentiate his gameplay. His proficiency in martial arts allows him to produce exhilarating combos.

The teaser trailer also shows off Blade using his legendary skill, dealing damage in a lengthy area with a double-edged blade. We have previously seen Blade interacting with the other protagonists, however, the newly-released introduction trailer is only dedicated to Blade and his abilities. As for Eric Brooks' story background, he is also called "Daywalker", having the sunlight tolerance of humans even though he is a half-vampire with upgraded stamina, strength, and senses.

Blade's obsessive mission is to eradicate the undead from the world of the living. His mother was executed by a vampire's bite during his birth, giving him vampire power to make himself a living weapon. Blade used his talents with weaponry and martial arts to kill anyone who stood in his path after his mother's death.

As shown in the trailer, he uses a combination of traditional and contemporary methods to stand his ground against various foes. As the story progresses, he will come across other characters, such as Doctor Strange, Captain America, and Ghost Rider, to fight against Hunter's evil mother.

Marvel's Midnight Suns will be made available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on December 2nd, 2022. The turn-based fighting game is now available to pre-order on the official website.
