After leaking on Amazon a few days back, Sony and Insomniac Games have officially announced that Marvel's Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition is real, and it's out right now.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Game of the Year Edition essentially contains exactly what you would expect. Not only do you get the entire base game of Marvel's Spider-Man, but you also receive a voucher to download The City That Never Sleeps, which is the three-part DLC story that came out last year following the initial release of the game. This Game of the Year Edition will retail for $39.99 and will be available both physically and digitally if you'd like to get your hands on it.

While there isn't anything else included in this package worth mentioning, it really is a great package if you haven't played Marvel's Spider-Man yet. To only have to pay $40 to experience one of last year's best games in its entirety is largely a steal. If you've had any interest in the game since it launched last year, I really cannot recommend it enough.

Below you can check out a new accolades trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man as well that also mentions the new Game of the Year Edition. With developer Insomniac Games now being owned by Sony and considering how well Marvel's Spider-Man sold, it seems all but certain that a sequel will arrive down the road.
