As we draw closer to the arrival of not only next-generation consoles but also their next-generation video games, we can always expect to see some form of highly-anticipated game being spoiled by sad sacks online. As it happens, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is due to be launching next-week on PS5, and Insomniac Games has reminded fans to be vigilant online.James Stevenson, Insomniac Games' Community Director tweeted the other day that, "We're at that time when copies of the game start getting out into people's hands from all sorts of sources". he adds, "So if you care about spoilers, whether they be for the story or suits we haven't shown, be careful."

While this was a warning that spoilers are no doubt due to be hitting the online world, it saw people replying to the tweet saying they had already been seeing spoilers. After some digging online there are a few spoilers around. However, if you're looking to avoid them, it's best to start getting keywords blocked on Twitter, or just maybe taking some time offline for a while until the game launches.

The Last of Us Part 2 saw people actively going out of their way to spoil the game as what felt like an attack on Naughty Dog, but while Insomniac hasn't seen that same level of controversy, they have still been under fire for changes to the remastered version of the PS4 game. So keep your wits about you if you're worried about having Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales spoiled. And to be honest, that probably goes for most of the upcoming games that fans are eagerly awaiting.

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is slated to launch on November 12.
