As one of the best-selling PS4 exclusives this year, Marvel's Spider-Man not only delivered comic-book-worthy action and spectacle, but given the character's roots, it looks like we'll see more from Insomniac Games' take on the iconic character in his own comic series early next year.

Marvel has announced that a new comic series adapted from Marvel's Spider-Man will release in March 2019, called Marvel's Spider-Man: City at War. The series will run for six issues and cover the main story of the PS4 game, while also including story content from the game's DLC and "all-new story moments" that were not included in the game.

The series itself will be written by Dennis Hopeless (Spider-Woman), while artist Michele Bandini will draw the series alongside several cover artists, including Clayton Crain (Spider-Geddon #0) for the first issue, and variant covers from Tim Tsang, David Nakayama, Gerardo Sandoval, and Adi Granov.

According to Marvel, this series will be "the first in a series of new stories from the growing Marvel Gamerverse," indicating that more comic series may be adapted from other upcoming game projects, which presumably could include Square Enix's upcoming Avengers project and more.

Marvel's Spider-Man: City at War will debut in comic stores everywhere in March 2019. For a closer look at the cover for the first issue, you can check it out below:
