If you didn’t see this coming when Mass Effect 3‘s multiplayer was announced officially a couple days ago, you need to crawl out of that hole you’ve been hiding under for the last year or so. It seems that new copies of Mass Effect 3 will include an online pass code which you need to take advantage of the fancy new co-op they’ve included and integrated into the game.
Mass Effect 3 is one game that I will actually buy on launch day brand new, so this doesn’t affect me much, but you know how I got into Mass Effect for the first time? I bought a used copy of the original game when I got my Xbox 360. This is what used copies can lead to – loyalty down the line and the purchase of new copies (or multiple new copies in the case of Mass Effect 2). Chew on them apples.
You’ll get to join Commander Shepherd as she fights to save the galaxy on March 6, 2012. Until then, if you haven’t done so already, check out BioWare’s Casey Hudson talking about the new multiplayer aspects of the game.
