One of the biggest hits of 2012, Mass Effect 3, was recently announced as a launch title for Nintendo’s upcoming console, the Wii U. The new system still has no official release date, and fans of the Mass Effect franchise have been wondering whether or not any or all of the DLC that has been released for the game on current consoles will be included on the disc of the Wii U edition or if it will be available for download instead.

BioWare’s Mass Effect producer, Mike Gamble, confirmed in an interview that, “The extended ending is basically going to be part of the [Wii U version],” and also added that gamers will not have to download it. The other DLC that has been released for the game – the entire collection of multiplayer DLC to date, including the most recent “Earth” DLC – will be available on the disc when it is released as well.

With no official announcement in regards to the rumored, “Leviathan,” DLC, it is unclear whether or not it will be released on the disc as well.
