Mass Effect Andromeda is less than a month away from its massively anticipated release, and today we get more information from Lead Designer Ian Frazier, who is continuing to answer questions from the fans on Twitter.

The Pathfinder Elite weapons you'll find in the Deluxe Edition of the game will get obsolete as you progress, but you'll be able to craft higher levels thanks to the blueprints that are also provided.

Differently from Mass Effect 3, you can have multiple pistols equipped at the same time, but dual-wielding them still isn't possible. While armor's color can be customized, weapon color is dictated by its base color and mods installed on it.

There isn't a bonus for carrying less guns than your maximum carry capacity, as the team wanted to avoid discouraging players from carrying at least a small sidearm for variety. There are also skills that let you increase your carry weight capacity, allowing you to carry multiple heavier guns without penalties.

Incidentally, the standard button for firing all those guns on PS4 is R2.

There won't be crafting in multiplayer, but interestingly Frazier mentioned that incoming information on the "Strike Teams" system might shed light on possible rewards carrying over to the single player portion of the game.

Loyalty missions dedicated to squad mates might actually introduce new mechanics. They are intended to be unique and memorable, with narrative twists, gameplay twists or a combination of both.

The scanner is included in the Omni Tool. It's necessary in various quests, but players might want to use it more to find out lore about the world and gathering research data for crafting.

As a final funny note of color, the Nomad exploration vehicle apparently comes equipped with a handbrake.

Mass Effect Andromeda releases on PS4, Xbox One and PC on March 21st in North America and on March 23rd in Europe.
