The long-awaited and highly-anticipated Mass Effect: Andromeda is only a week away from release and bringing players back into a vast galaxy of possibility, with the game's Angala team member, Jaal, getting the spotlight in a new introductory video.

Revealed as part of IGN First, a new gameplay video for Mass Effect: Andromeda has been released putting the spotlight on Jaal, one of the squadmates that players can recruit in the game and part of the new Angala race that will be debuting in the series.

Bioware writer Cathleen Rootsaert also added a bit more detail on Jaal and his character, explaining that he is "a very cards-on-the-table, heart-on-the-sleeve kind of guy," adding that players will be able to "make [their] interactions with him very fun and interesting."

Rootsaert also provided a few more details on Jaal, explaining that "it's kind of a really nice journey to watch him grow from someone who is not so sure of himself to someone who is," while adding that Jaal's progression as a character "very much mirrors the journey of the Pathfinder as well."

Mass Effect: Andromeda releases for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 21st, 2017 - for a closer look at Jaal, you can check out the new gameplay video from IGN First below:
