One of the most important elements of the Mass Effect Series is relationships among the main character and those he'll meet, and quite evidently the upcoming Mass Effect Andromeda won't be an exception. Creative Director Mac Walters talked a bit more about it today on Twitter.

Waters mentioned that "Relationships will vary from person to person," also adding that they "should match each personality."

On top of that, we also hear a tease about aliens. Apparently the Kett won't be the only new intelligent alien race to come with Mass Effect Andromeda, but Walters declined to give more details.
