Xbox Game Pass or EA Play?

The answer to this question might not be the one you're looking for, as Mass Effect Legendary Edition will actually be launching on the Pro version of EA Play and NOT Xbox Game Pass.

But fear not, there's still hope of Mass Effect Legendary Edition coming to Xbox Game Pass, it's just not happening on launch.

According to the official FAQ for EA's latest title, "The Mass Effect Legendary Edition isn’t available to regular EA Play members at launch, and there is no Play First trial".

It does make sense that an EA published game would arrive on the Pro version of EA Play first, it's a fantastic opportunity for EA to release one of the biggest titles of the year and get even more players purchasing the EA subscription service.

So if you don't plan on picking up Mass Effect Legendary Edition for full price, the only other way to get your hands on the title is through the Pro Subscription of EA Play.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Bioware's latest title will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Origin, and Steam.

EA have also noted that the Mass Effect remaster will come with forward compatibility and targeted enhancements for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
